The winners can pick a model to be converted to MikuMikuDance (MMD)! Here's how to enter:

  1. Anyone can enter! There is no payment required and no one is given priority. Being a watcher isn't required, but it helps to alert you of new raffles and the like.

  2. Leave a comment below with a message letting me know you want to enter (something like "Count me in!" or anything else to indicate you want to enter). Please leave only one comment on this journal, it makes it easier for me to tally the results. If you have questions, just send me a Note and I'll answer as soon as I can.

  3. Do not create multiple accounts for the sake of abusing the raffle. If your account seems suspect in some way it might make your entry invalid.

  4. You can enter the raffle anytime before the start of the next raffle. Make sure you leave a comment on the most recent journal entry for Chance Time!

  5. At around the start of next month, I'll announce the winners!

  6. You'll receive a note from me if you won with more information. Please read that note carefully before you respond!

  7. Winners will receive their prize at around the end of the month. December tends to be earlier, however.

  8. If you are one of the winners from last month, you can't enter at all this month. This is so I can give more people a chance to win. However, you can enter again next month and each month after that until you win again.

There are a few rules we need to cover first regarding the kind of model you can win:

  • The model cannot be R18 or anything fetish-related. If I have to put a Mature Content warning on it, it can't be done. Characters in swimsuits or similar revealing outfits are not usually considered R18. Don't be afraid to ask if you're not sure!

  • The model cannot be of anything political.

  • The model cannot be a custom/edited model. I won't have time for anything that complex.

  • The model cannot require me to rig it with a skeleton myself (certain simpler, lower-poly models excluded like N64 models or DS models). All .OBJ models are unrigged, for reference. Again, ask if you're not sure!

  • I cannot rip the model for you. It has to be something that can already be converted from a pre-existing model (FBX, DAE, XPS, Source Filmmaker/SFM, Garry's Mod, SMD, and some Blender models).

  • I cannot convert extremely large, high-poly stages (like the stages from Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World). They usually don't work in MMD.

  • Always be prepared for the possibility that your choice may not be able to be converted. (This is why you need to have a backup!)

  • The more complex your model is (many bones to work with, lots of physics, lots of options and features, etc.) the less likely that I can do it for you. Remember, I need to do two models in one day, so you can't pick something that would take all day for you alone.

Please note that there aren't any favorites here. There's nothing you can do to increase your odds of winning other than just entering each month until you do win.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,

I've been asked before in the past if I had any animations that I did with the models I've uploaded to DeviantArt. While I don't have any MikuMikuDance animations, I did use many of these models for other sorts of animation for an application called Wallpaper Engine.

I've mentioned this before in the past, but I realized it would be difficult to really see these scenes if you don't actually own a copy of Wallpaper Engine. So I've put together a video to show some of the scenes I've done, which you can see above. It's my first time really putting together a video like this, so I hope it's not too bad. 😅

For a little context, Wallpaper Engine is a program that lets you run an animated, often interactive or customizable scene as either your desktop background or as a screensaver. My scenes in particular are rendered in real time, so that often means you can click on characters or objects in the scene or customize various details about the scene.

For example, Build-A-Kirby lets you change various details about Kirby's appearance, such as his color scheme, outfit, facial expressions, and animations. You can do something similar with Sackboy in the LittleBigPlanet scene. In Game Boy Advance SP, you can change what game footage is displayed on the GBA on the desk, as well as customize the colors of the GBA itself. Other scenes let you change how the camera works, what music plays in the background, and other details that vary by wallpaper.

I know you guys are mostly just here for the MMD models, but since my Wallpaper Engine work is often connected to the models I do in MMD and vice-versa, I thought you might be interested to see it in action. Models I've uploaded like Rattly the Rattlesnake, Geyser Rock, and the Mini Toys from Mario vs. Donkey Kong were originally created/ported for use in Wallpaper Engine.

You can learn more about Wallpaper Engine on Steam here.

You can see my particular gallery of Wallpaper Engine scenes here.

My wallpapers are free to download, but Wallpaper Engine itself is usually about $5.00 USD.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out! If you have any questions, please just let me know.
